of Jazz Stars Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorious, Carla Bley and Bill Frisell ) THE STEN HOSTFALT QUARTET has
with the legacy of it's mentors and without copying any of them, created it's own unique vocabulary and sound.

Currently regularly heard on the New York City and U.S. East Coast Jazz scene. Featuring tenor saxophonist OLE MATHISEN, bassist TIM LUNTZEL. Drummers DAVE MILLER or MARKO DJORDJEVIC. This lineups unique interplay is based on a musical comraderie since the early 90's. With previous lineups featuring saxophonist Matt Renzi. Vibraphonist Tom Beckham. Bassists Matt Pavolka, Matthew Garrison, Masa Kamaguchi and Richard Hammond. Drummers Jimmy Weinstein, Blake Lindberg, and Owen Howard. Lars Lindvall and Takuya Nakamura on trumpet. And single concerts and guest features by saxophonists Don Houge and Seamus Blake and drummer Cyril Atef.
